Sustainable Development Policy

Monozukuri for the future

Its our mission to preserve the environment,
so that babies born today can enjoy health and
happiness decades from now.

At Pigeon, we are committed to developing products
with full consideration to the future environment of childcare
and the global environment.

Act with an eye to the future

We aim to carry out monozukuri with
due consideration to the future environment
for parents and the natural world.
This begins with every Pigeon employee thinking about
the environmental impact of their actions.

Our activities should unfold from
sincere contemplation of what ethical
consumption means for everyday life.

Make products that play their part

Bottles and other baby products are special items, used by babies who grow by the day.
We create quality products that play their part throughout this crucial period without causing parents or babies inconvenience or anxiety.
This helps to reduce the environmental burden associated with unnecessary repeat purchases and repairs.

Avoid overengineering and overdesign

Our products must be durable, but they should not be overengineered to unreasonable standards.
This is part of our stance against wasting limited resources.

Pigeon’s designs are based on the 3 Rs:
Reduce
Replacement(with substitute materials)
Recycle

Seek empathy, share progress

Environmental issues are global, and Pigeon cannot resolve them alone.
Cooperation among all stakeholders is essential.
We will establish firm links throughout our supply chain and take action together toward creating a sustainable society.

Watch over products for their whole lifetime

The customers who need our products are always changing.
We must change with them.
As we consider our next action, we will always investigate whether the products and services we have developed are truly playing their part in resolving social issues.
